Following on from the success of last year’s BACKYARD show, the Head On Photo Festival has created a new dedicated Mobile Prize as part of the main festival program for 2014.  The Mobile Prize is worth over $8,000.

Like last year, Mobile Photo Network (MPN)  is working with Head On Photo Festival to celebrate the best of mobile photography. MPN co-founder Misho Baranovic will be part of the Head On team coordinating the mobile prize, including judging and exhibition of works.

Mobile Prize Submission Details 

The innagural Head On Mobile Prize is looking innovative mobile photography from around the world.   The prize is open with the only requirement being that the image is captured on a mobile device (phone or tablet).  You can submit up to three photographs for the mobile prize.   Full terms and conditions can be found here.

Deadline for Submission: Sunday 11pm (EDT), 9 March 2014

Entry Fee:

$25 per image – members
$30 per image – non-members

Prize details

1. First prize is valued at over $5,000 and includes $2,500 cash, a great Olympus Camera Kit worth $1,498 (Olympus OM-D E-M10 body with 14-42mm Electronic Zoom lens and 25mm f1.8 lens), 1 Year subscription to Adobe Creative Suite worth $600 and more!

2. Second prize is valued at over $2,000 and includes a great Olympus Camera Kit worth $999 (Olympus OM-D E-M10 body with 14-42mm Electronic Zoom lens), 1 Year subscription to Adobe Creative Suite worth $600 and more!

3. Third prize is valued at over $1,800 and includes a great Olympus Camera Kit worth $799 (Olympus STYLUS 1 f2.8 Super Zoom Camera), 1 Year subscription to Adobe Creative Suite worth $600 and more!

Finalists will be exhibited during the festival and prizes will be awarded to the three best images.

Judges

Judges this year are Associate Editor for British Journal of Photography Olivier Laurent, award winning New York based photographer Benjamin Lowy, Photo Editor Fairfax Media James Cottam and Head On Photo Festival Director Moshe Rosenzveig.
