“In Saint-Malo crushed light, tragedy hatched in black and white. Stéphane Mahé photographs the city in search of contrasts uncompromising, while Arnaud the Gouëfflec takes us spinning over Falklands maze of alleys.”
French mobile photographer Stephane Mahe together with writer Arnaud Le Gouëfflec have produced a new photobook – Terminus Saint-Malo. Mahe’s photographs are epic, brooding images that meld the natural and man-made beauty of the French sea-side town.
I’ve long admired Mahe’s dedication to his home, his tidal return. I can’t wait to get my hands on the book and see the photographs in print.
Terminus Saint-Malo (14 x 14 cm – 80 pages intérieures en noir et blanc – softcover) is available at Editions de Juillet for €9.90.
